Caramel Apple Wontons (Printable Version)

Golden wontons filled with spiced caramel apples, cooked fast and crisp in the air fryer.

# Ingredients You'll Need:

→ Assembly

01 - Cooking spray
02 - 24 wonton wrappers
03 - Powdered sugar (optional for sprinkling)
04 - 1 beaten egg

→ Filling

05 - 240 ml apple pie filling, chopped
06 - 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
07 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
08 - 120 ml caramel sauce

# Detailed Preparation Steps:

01 - Put the chopped apple filling, caramel, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl. Stir it all up so everything’s combined well.
02 - Lay your wonton wrappers out flat. Drop a spoonful of the filling right in the middle of each one.
03 - Brush some beaten egg around the wrappers’ edges. Fold each wrapper into a triangle and press down firmly so no air gets trapped.
04 - Turn on your air fryer to 175°C and let it warm up for about 3 minutes.
05 - Spritz the wontons with cooking spray. Arrange them in a single layer inside the air fryer basket. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes, flipping halfway through till they’re crispy and golden. Do this in batches if you need to.
06 - Take the wontons out and let them cool a bit. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top if you like before digging in.

# Helpful Tips:

01 - Times might change a bit depending on your air fryer model so watch closely.
02 - Make sure you seal the wrappers tight to keep the filling inside while cooking.
03 - Try sugar-free apple pie filling and caramel for a lighter sweet option.
