Turkey Meatballs with Apple (Printable Version)

Soft turkey bites mixed with fresh sage and grated apple make a flavorful and well-balanced meal.

# Ingredients You'll Need:

→ Meats & Protein

01 - 1 large egg
02 - 454 g ground turkey

→ Fresh Stuff

03 - 15 g finely chopped fresh sage leaves
04 - 2 minced garlic cloves
05 - 1 medium apple, peeled and shredded

→ Dry Stuff

06 - 0.5 teaspoon black pepper ground
07 - 0.5 teaspoon salt
08 - 30 g breadcrumbs
09 - 25 g Parmesan cheese, grated

→ Oils

10 - 15 ml olive oil

# Detailed Preparation Steps:

01 - Get the oven heated to 190°C and cover a baking tray with parchment paper.
02 - Put ground turkey, apple, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, sage, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper into a big bowl. Mix it up well so it all sticks together.
03 - Roll the mix into balls about 3.8 cm (1 1/2-inch) wide using your hands. Spread them out on the lined tray so they’re not touching.
04 - Pour olive oil over the meatballs to help them get that nice color while baking.
05 - Pop the tray in the oven. Cook for 20-25 minutes until the meatballs turn golden and reach 75°C inside.
06 - Take them out and let them sit for a few minutes before digging in while still warm.

# Helpful Tips:

01 - You can swap regular breadcrumbs with gluten-free ones to avoid gluten.
02 - If you don’t have fresh sage, dried works too—about 1 teaspoon will do.
03 - Try them with pasta sauce, rice, or just as a snack.
