# Ingredients You'll Need:

→ Beef and Spices

01 - 907 g rump or chuck beef roast
02 - 5 g garlic powder
03 - 2.5 g freshly ground black pepper
04 - 15 ml olive oil
05 - 5 g salt

→ Sauce

06 - 43 g butter
07 - 24 g plain flour
08 - 2.5 ml Worcestershire sauce
09 - Salt and black pepper, as you like
10 - 474 ml beef broth
11 - 237 ml beef broth

→ To Serve

12 - 8 pieces white bread
13 - 946 ml creamy mashed potatoes
14 - Optional fresh parsley

# Detailed Preparation Steps:

01 - Start by heating olive oil in a pan on high. Brown the beef roast well on every side until it’s got a nice sear.
02 - Put the browned beef in a Dutch oven. Pour in 237 ml beef broth. Cover and let it gently simmer for 2 to 2.5 hours till it’s super tender.
03 - Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour to create a thick paste. Slowly pour in 474 ml beef broth along with Worcestershire sauce. Keep stirring until it thickens up. Season with salt and pepper to your liking.
04 - Take the beef off the heat and let it chill for a few minutes. Cut thin slices across the grain for the best texture.
05 - On each plate, put a piece of white bread. Top that with sliced beef and a big spoon of mashed potatoes. Pour hot gravy all over.
06 - If you want, sprinkle fresh parsley on top and serve right away.

# Helpful Tips:

01 - A meat thermometer helps you cook the beef just how you like it.
02 - If the sauce is too thick, use less flour in the paste — add more to thicken it up.
03 - Serve with a fresh salad or roasted veggies for a complete meal.
