Beefy Cheddar Sandwich (Print Version)

Seasoned beef, stretchy cheddar, and sautéed veggies make this melty sandwich that hugs soft rolls.

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 150 grams shredded cheddar cheese
02 - Salt and pepper, however much you like
03 - 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
04 - 310 ml canned or condensed cream of mushroom soup
05 - 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
06 - 1 green bell pepper, chopped small
07 - 2 teaspoons Montreal steak seasoning
08 - 1 small onion, peeled and diced
09 - 450 grams ground beef
10 - 2 tablespoons avocado oil or another neutral oil
11 - 6 hoagie rolls

# Steps:

01 - Pack that cheesy beef into those hoagie rolls. Don’t wait, eat them while they’re still toasty.
02 - Once you turn off the burner, toss in the cheddar and give everything a good stir until it all looks nice and melty.
03 - Splash in the cream of mushroom and Worcestershire. Add a bit of salt and pepper now. Stir it all well, and let it quietly bubble for 5 minutes so the flavors mix together.
04 - Now, tip in the bell pepper and minced garlic. Keep things moving in the pan for about 3 minutes until that good smell kicks in and the veggies soften a bit.
05 - Heat up your skillet over medium-high, pour in the oil, then add your beef and onion. Cook for 7 to 10 minutes, keep breaking up the beef, and wait for both to get browned and the onions to go see-through. Sprinkle steak seasoning on top.

# Notes:

01 - If the filling gets dry or too solid, just splash in milk till it’s as loose as you like.
02 - If you want it lighter, pick a leaner beef or pour off any fat after browning.
03 - Want it spicy? Add a good squirt of sriracha or spicy sauce with everything else.
