01 - 8 frankfurters

02 - 8 buns for hot dogs

03 - 480 ml chili sauce, store-bought or homemade

04 - 120 ml mozzarella, shredded
05 - 240 ml sharp cheddar, shredded

→ Spices and Extras

06 - 60 ml onions chopped, optional
07 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
08 - 15 ml melted butter
09 - 1/2 teaspoon paprika
10 - Sprigs of parsley or chives for topping, optional

# Detailed Preparation Steps:

01 - Set your oven to 190°C. Rub some butter or oil on a 23x33 cm pan.
02 - Put each frankfurter inside a bun in the pan.
03 - Ladle chili over each hot dog so they’re all nicely covered.
04 - Throw the shredded cheeses on top of the chili.
05 - Mix melted butter, garlic powder, and paprika then brush this on the edges of the buns.
06 - Cover the pan with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
07 - Take off the foil and bake 10 more minutes until cheese bubbles and browns a bit.
08 - Add parsley, chives, or chopped onions on top if you want before eating.

# Helpful Tips:

01 - If you want it spicier, use hot chili or mix cayenne into the cheese. After baking, try adding jalapeños or sour cream to change it up.
