Set your oven to 175°C. Grease a 23 cm round pan and dust it with flour so the cake won't stick.

Whip up the softened butter and granulated sugar until it looks fluffy and light.

One by one, mix in the eggs really well. Then pour in the vanilla and stir it through.

In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt so they're combined.

Add the dry mix to the butter mix little by little, alternating with milk. Start and finish with the dry stuff. Stir just until everything comes together.

Cover the chocolate chips with the 30 grams of flour so they don’t all sink. Carefully fold them into the batter.

Pour the mixture into your pan and spread it out evenly.

Bake for around 25 to 30 minutes. Check it by poking with a toothpick—it should come out clean.

Once cooled, sprinkle powdered sugar on top and drizzle cocoa powder to finish it off.
