01 -
Start with the bottom bun, stack on your warm beef patty, throw on some crunchy lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, a bit of BBQ sauce, and slap on the top. Dig in while they’re fresh.
02 -
Let the buns heat up on the grill or in your skillet until they look golden and a little crispy.
03 -
When your patties are almost done, place a cheddar slice on each. Toss on a lid or some foil to help it melt fast.
04 -
Pop the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook about 4 to 5 minutes per side, or however done you like them.
05 -
Press your thumb gently in the middle of each patty so it dips in. This keeps them from puffing up.
06 -
Throw the beef, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Split the mix into four chunks, then shape them into patties around 2.5 cm thick.
07 -
Get your grill going on medium-high or put your cast-iron skillet on medium to warm up.
