→ Veggies and Fruits

02 - Chopped celery, 60 g
03 - 60 g onions, chopped
04 - Diced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), 125 g
05 - 150 g dried cranberries
06 - Fresh parsley, chopped, 15 g

→ Nuts

07 - 60 g chopped pecans or walnuts

→ Spices and Herbs

08 - A teaspoon of dried thyme
09 - Half a teaspoon of salt
10 - A quarter teaspoon of black pepper
11 - 1 tsp dried sage

→ Liquids and Extras

12 - 2 large eggs, beaten
13 - 60 g unsalted butter, melted
14 - 480 ml chicken or veggie broth

# Detailed Preparation Steps:

01 - Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
02 - Put the bread cubes, chopped nuts, cranberries, celery, diced apples, and onions in a big bowl and mix them around well.
03 - In another bowl, whisk the melted butter, eggs, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper. Slowly add the broth while whisking to blend everything.
04 - Pour the wet mix over the bread and fruit stuff. Stir gently so all the bread soaks up the liquid evenly.
05 - Mix in the chopped parsley carefully so it's spread through the whole mix.
06 - Grease a 9x13 inch (23x33 cm) baking dish then spread the mixture in there. Press it down lightly to pack it.
07 - Cover the dish with foil and bake for half an hour.
08 - Take off the foil and bake for 15 to 20 more minutes until the top turns golden and crunchy.
09 - Let it cool for a bit before serving so the flavors can settle in.

# Helpful Tips:

01 - For a veggie version, swap chicken broth with vegetable broth. Frying celery and onion in butter first adds more flavor. You can make this ahead and keep it cold in the fridge; just bake longer if you do it from cold.
