Slow Cooker Beef Chili (Printable Version)

# Ingredients You'll Need:

→ Meat

01 - 454 g 80% lean ground beef

→ Vegetables

02 - 4 garlic cloves, minced
03 - 1 big yellow onion, chopped
04 - 1 green bell pepper, chopped
05 - 1 red bell pepper, chopped

→ Canned Goods

06 - 1 can (425 g) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
07 - 2 cans (398 ml each) diced tomatoes

→ Spices

08 - 1 tsp smoked paprika
09 - 1 tbsp ground cumin
10 - 2 tbsp chili powder
11 - Salt and black pepper to taste
12 - ½ tsp cayenne pepper

# Detailed Preparation Steps:

01 - Use the same pan to soften onion first. Toss in the garlic and peppers next. Cook till you smell the garlic. Then, put everything into the slow cooker.
02 - Cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until there's no pink left. Drain the fat and transfer it to the slow cooker.
03 - Throw in the kidney beans and diced tomatoes. Sprinkle all the spices on top. Stir well so the flavors mix.
04 - Put the lid on and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 until thick and full of flavor.

# Helpful Tips:

01 - Want it spicier? Add more cayenne or throw in some red pepper flakes. Cheese, sour cream or green onions make great toppings.
02 - You can easily double or triple this for a bigger crowd.
