Strawberry Cheesecake Sandwich (Print Version)

Golden-fried slices stuffed with tangy cheesecake, juicy strawberries, and a hint of crunch for a speedy snack everyone wants.

# Ingredients:

→ Filling

01 - 30 g strawberry jam
02 - 225 g cream cheese, room temperature
03 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
04 - 150 g diced fresh strawberries (or use dried-off thawed frozen ones)
05 - 50 g white sugar

→ Sandwich

06 - 8 slices white sandwich bread, crusts off
07 - 60 ml whole milk
08 - 25 g graham cracker crumbs for the outside (totally up to you)
09 - 2 big eggs, well beaten
10 - 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon (add it if you want)
11 - 30 g unsalted butter

→ For Finishing

12 - Sliced strawberries on top
13 - Sprinkle of powdered sugar for dusting
14 - A bit of honey or maple syrup to drizzle, if you fancy

# Steps:

01 - Move the hot sandwiches onto paper towels, let the butter soak away. Cut them up. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, scatter strawberries, and maybe a drizzle of syrup or honey if that's your style.
02 - Toss the sandwiches into a nonstick pan with butter melting over medium heat. Flip 'em after 2 or 3 minutes, you want the sides all golden and crunchy.
03 - Soak each sandwich in the eggy mix. Make sure every edge gets some love. If you're feeling it, roll them through graham crumbs too.
04 - Whisk your eggs, milk, and that cinnamon together in a wide bowl or dish. Doesn't take long, just get it all mixed.
05 - Get 4 bread slices and spread your strawberry filling over them. Top with the other bread pieces. Push all the way around the edges to seal the filling in.
06 - Mix up the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until there are no lumps. Fold in chunks of strawberries and spoonfuls of jam last, gentle now.

# Notes:

01 - Dry off strawberries so you don't end up with mushy insides.
02 - Make sure to squeeze those bread edges together well or stuff will spill while you fry.
