Set your oven to 190°C so it’s ready.

Boil the beans just until they’re tender but still a bit firm, then drain them well.

Melt the butter in a big pan on medium heat and soften the onion and garlic until you can smell them and they look clear.

Throw in the mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and the salt and pepper. Stir it all nicely.

Gently fold the green beans into the creamy mix so they’re all coated.

Move everything into a baking dish and sprinkle the crunchy fried onions evenly on top.

Bake for about 25 minutes until the top turns golden and you see bubbling around the edges.
