Turn off the heat. Sprinkle on chopped green onions and sesame seeds if you like. Dish it out while it's hot.

Put the chicken back into the pan. Ladle the sauce over it. Let it bubble gently for 5 to 7 minutes till fully cooked and shiny.

Mix cornstarch with water until smooth. Stir that into the sauce and cook until it’s a bit thicker.

Add the soy sauce, honey, and vinegar to the pan. Let it simmer gently.

Sauté the minced garlic in the same pan for about 30 seconds until it smells amazing.

Warm the olive oil in a big pan over medium heat. Cook the chicken about 4 to 5 minutes each side until it’s golden. Take it out and set aside.
