Honey Hot Chicken (Print Version)

Dig into sweet-heat chicken, crispy lettuce, and a load of fresh veg, all finished with a big splash of creamy tang.

# Ingredients:

→ Protein

01 - 2 chicken breasts, cooked and chopped up

→ Sauces

02 - 60 ml buffalo wing sauce or use basic hot sauce
03 - 60 ml honey garlic sauce

→ Greens

04 - 2 romaine lettuce heads, washed and chopped

→ Dressings

05 - 45-90 ml ranch or whatever creamy dressing you like

→ Vegetables

06 - Half of a big cucumber, diced
07 - 1 big red bell pepper, diced
08 - Half a medium red onion, chopped

→ Topping

09 - Sprinkle of shredded cheese if you feel like it

# Steps:

01 - Scoop your saucy chicken mix onto the salad last. Eat it soon so the lettuce stays crisp.
02 - Now, toss on the onions, cucumbers, bell peppers, and a little shredded cheese if you want.
03 - Split the coated romaine into two bowls or plates. Make enough room for toppings.
04 - Grab a big bowl and stir your chopped romaine with your chosen dressing so everything is covered.
05 - Throw diced chicken in a small bowl, pour on the honey garlic and buffalo sauce, and stir until it’s all sticky and coated.

# Notes:

01 - Making your own buffalo or honey garlic sauces brings loads of flavor. Want to prep ahead? Keep everything separate till you’re ready for lunch.
02 - No chicken breasts? Rotisserie chicken, leftover turkey, or even thighs work just fine.
03 - Going vegan? Swap in crunchy tofu, skip the cheese, and pick a creamy vegan dressing.
04 - Tweak the heat by using less or more hot sauce, or even change the type.
05 - Got extras? Stuff everything inside wraps or bread for a lunch twist.
06 - Try teriyaki sauce instead of honey garlic for something new.
