Cheeseburger Sliders (Print Version)

Little burgers stuffed with tasty beef, gooey cheddar, and all the usual toppings inside pillowy soft buns.

# Ingredients:

→ Sliders

01 - 12 slider buns
02 - 12 slices cheddar cheese
03 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
04 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
05 - 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
06 - 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
07 - 500 g ground beef

→ Toppings

08 - Mustard, as much as you like
09 - Ketchup, as much as you want
10 - 1 small red onion, sliced really thin
11 - 2 medium tomatoes, sliced up
12 - 6 crisp lettuce leaves, torn to fit

# Steps:

01 - Pop the sliders on a serving plate and enjoy them hot.
02 - Put the bun lid on each burger to finish them up.
03 - Slather ketchup and mustard on the top buns however you like.
04 - Layer on the onion, tomato slices, and lettuce over the cheesy patties.
05 - Set each melted cheese patty onto the bottom half of each bun.
06 - Slice the buns and toast them, cut side down, on the grill until they're a little golden.
07 - Place a cheese slice on every patty right at the end, letting it melt while still on the heat.
08 - Cook the patties for about 3 or 4 minutes per side, or until they're as done as you like.
09 - Break the beef mix into 12 pieces and form little patties by hand.
10 - Toss the beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder together in a big bowl until combined.
11 - Get your grill or griddle nice and hot on medium heat before you get started.

# Notes:

01 - If you want sliders extra juicy, go for ground beef that's at least 20% fat.
02 - Try mixing in some Worcestershire, chopped onions, or a bit of shredded cheese to pep up the meat.
03 - Switch up the toppings with bacon, pickles, avocado, or swap in a different cheese if you're feeling adventurous.
04 - Keep an eye on your burgers—cooking them too long makes them dry and tough.
05 - Short on grill space? Bake your patties in a 175°C oven for around 15 minutes instead.
