Air Fryer Zucchini Low Calorie (Print Version)

Bite into crunchy zucchini fries, tossed in herby, cheesy, or spicy flavor, cooked to perfection in your air fryer for a breezy light snack.

# Ingredients:

→ Zucchini Fries

01 - 2 to 3 zucchinis, nice and fresh
02 - 1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil or a quick spritz of a neutral spray
03 - Black pepper, add as much as you like
04 - Salt, just sprinkle on until it tastes right
05 - Optional: 2 tablespoons Parmesan, grated super fine

→ Coating Options (pick one)

06 - Herby: 1 teaspoon dried thyme or rosemary
07 - Spicy: 1 teaspoon chili powder, 1 teaspoon paprika, salt however you want
08 - Garlic Parmesan: 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 2 tablespoons Parmesan, 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs

# Steps:

01 - Pop the finished zucchini fries right out of the basket and dig in while they're hot, dunked in whatever dip you like best.
02 - Toss the zucchini in a single layer so the pieces aren't squished. Set the timer for 10 to 12 minutes, shaking things up halfway, till golden and crunchy.
03 - Drizzle with olive oil or spray a little. Chuck in some black pepper and whichever spice or crumb mix sounds good to you. Mix them up so every piece gets covered.
04 - Sprinkle some salt over all the zucchini. Let it sit and chill for 10 or 15 minutes, then blot away any wetness with paper towels.
05 - Rinse and dry the zucchinis first. Slice them up long and thin like classic fries or make chubby round coins if you want chips.
06 - Get your air fryer going at 190°C. Let it run for about 3 to 5 minutes to heat up.

# Notes:

01 - Dab off all the extra water once you've salted—makes the fries way crunchier.
02 - Don't stack all your zucchini at once in your air fryer. Give them space for that perfect toast, or just cook them in bunches.
03 - Got any left? Re-crisp in the air fryer: 150°C, 2 or 3 minutes and you're set.
