Pizza Tortellini with Meats (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
02 - 1/2 cup cooked bacon pieces
03 - 1/2 medium onion, diced finely
04 - 24 ounces of pizza sauce
05 - 12 ounces of tortellini
06 - Sliced pepperoni, use as much as you like
07 - 1/2 pound Italian sausage, ground
08 - 1 tablespoon of minced garlic
09 - 1 tablespoon oil, preferably olive
10 - 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
11 - 1 pound ground beef

# Steps:

01 - Cook the tortellini noodles following the pack's directions. Drain well and keep it aside.
02 - Heat up a big pan on medium heat. Toss in some olive oil and the chopped onion, letting it soften up. Stir in the ground beef and sausage, cooking until it's browned. Add garlic and seasoning last. Get rid of any grease and then mix in the bacon.
03 - Pour the pizza sauce into the meat mixture. Carefully stir the drained tortellini into the skillet. Let it cook down until everything mixes well.
04 - Sprinkle a good layer of mozzarella over everything. Arrange pepperoni slices on top however you'd like. Cover the pan and leave it on the burner (heat off) until the cheese is gooey and melted.
05 - Dish it out while it's still warm, and add fresh herbs for extra flavor if you want.

# Notes:

01 - Use low-fat cheese and lean beef if you're watching calories.
02 - Assemble this meal ahead and chill it. Warm it up with cheese and pepperoni added when ready to eat.
03 - Freeze leftovers by letting them cool completely, then transfer to a freezer-safe container. Reheat thoroughly before serving.
