# Ingredients:

→ Batter

01 - 1 g salt
02 - 5 ml vanilla extract
03 - 12 g baking powder
04 - 2 large eggs
05 - 240 ml whole milk
06 - 115 g unsalted butter, softened
07 - 200 g white sugar
08 - 240 g plain flour

# Steps:

01 - Let the cake chill in the pan before you cut it up and dig in.
02 - Pop it in the middle of your oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Stick a toothpick in, and if it comes out with no batter stuck, it's done.
03 - Grease your baking pan, pour in the batter, and even it out.
04 - Add bits of flour mix into the wet bowl while slowly pouring in the milk, swapping between them. Don’t overmix, just combine until it’s smooth.
05 - In another bowl, mix your flour, baking powder, and salt so they blend together.
06 - Crack an egg in, mix, then do the next egg, mixing again. After that, splash in your vanilla.
07 - Grab your mixing bowl and beat the room temp butter with the sugar until it’s pale and fluffy.
08 - Turn your oven on to 175°C and let it warm up.

01 - Toss on whipped cream or some fresh fruit if you want a little something extra.
02 - Keep any leftover slices in a tight container at room temp—they’ll last a couple days.
03 - Make it the night before if you’d like; it holds up great and saves time.
