Get your oven heating to 175°C so it's good to go.

Slap some grease on your pan to keep things from sticking.

Heat the butter till it's melted then stir in the sugar until smooth.

Add the flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder using a sifter. Fold these in gently just till blended.
