Pizza Pasta Dish (Print Version)

A tasty combo meal mixing pepperoni, stretchy mozzarella and rich tomato sauce with penne for a kid-friendly oven-baked dinner.

# Ingredients:

→ Core Components

01 - 10 oz pepperoni slices
02 - 3 cups (24 oz) of marinara sauce
03 - 1 lb uncooked penne pasta
04 - 2 cups shredded mozzarella

# Steps:

01 - Set your oven to 375°F. Place the rack closer to the top for a nice golden finish.
02 - Fill a large pot with water and salt it generously. Cook the pasta until it’s 2 minutes shy of done (check the package for timing). Drain well.
03 - Pour the drained pasta back into the pot. Stir in the marinara and about a third of the pepperoni slices, making sure the sauce coats it all nicely.
04 - Pour the pasta mixture into a 9x13 dish, spreading it out evenly. Scatter the mozzarella all over, then top with the rest of the pepperoni slices.
05 - Bake uncovered for 20 minutes until the cheese is gooey and bubbling. After that, broil it for 2-3 minutes to crisp everything up. Keep an eye on it, so it doesn’t burn!

# Notes:

01 - Feeds 6 to 8 people, great for a family meal.
02 - Want it saucier? Add 1/2 to 1 more cup of marinara.
03 - Pepperoni packaging sizes vary, so you may need to adjust up or down slightly. It’s flexible!
