Comforting beef Bolognese packed with tomatoes, veggies, and herbs, ladled over pasta for the ultimate cozy meal.

# Ingredients:

→ Bolognese Sauce

01 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
02 - 1 medium celery stalk, finely chopped
03 - 1 teaspoon dried basil
04 - 0.5 teaspoon salt
05 - 1 medium carrot, finely chopped
06 - 1 medium onion, diced
07 - 240 ml beef broth
08 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
09 - 425 g crushed tomatoes
10 - 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
11 - 2 tablespoons tomato paste
12 - 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
13 - 1 teaspoon dried oregano
14 - 120 ml whole milk
15 - 450 g ground beef

→ To Serve

16 - Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)
17 - Fresh basil or parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
18 - 450 g spaghetti or preferred pasta

# Steps:

01 - Put that awesome Bolognese on top of your spaghetti. Sprinkle over some fresh basil or parsley. Toss on Parmesan if you want. Dig in!
02 - While the sauce thickens, grab a large pot and boil your pasta as the package says in salty water. Drain it well and leave it to the side.
03 - Splash in the whole milk. Let everything bubble for about 10 minutes so the sauce gets nice and rich.
04 - Now pour in beef broth and bring it all to a gentle bubble. Turn the heat low and let it go uncovered for about 30 minutes. Give it a stir now and then.
05 - Dump in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried basil, oregano, all your salt and peppers, and any chili flakes you want. Stir it up.
06 - Crank up the heat to medium-high. Toss in your ground beef and cook for about 5 to 7 minutes. Break that meat up as it cooks. If there's too much grease, drain some off.
07 - Throw in the minced garlic for a nice pop of flavor, cooking for just a minute or so until you can smell it.
08 - Put olive oil in a big pan over medium. Add chopped onion, carrot, and celery. Cook them all for 5 minutes or so until they're soft.

# Notes:

01 - Want even deeper flavor? Let your sauce keep simmering up to an hour. You can splash in a bit of dry red wine, too.
02 - You can use ground chicken or turkey instead for something lighter, or even lentils if you feel like skipping the meat entirely.
