Valentines Sourdough Cookies (Printable Version)

# Ingredients You'll Need:

→ Wet Mix

01 - 115 g softened unsalted butter
02 - 240 ml sourdough starter
03 - 1 large egg
04 - 200 g white sugar
05 - 5 ml vanilla extract

→ Dry Mix

06 - 2.5 ml salt
07 - 240 g plain flour
08 - 2.5 ml baking soda

→ Toppers

09 - 60 ml heart sprinkles

# Detailed Preparation Steps:

01 - Turn the oven to 175°C. Cover your baking tray with parchment paper.
02 - Grab a bowl and mix the butter and sourdough starter until it's smooth and creamy.
03 - Put in sugar, the egg, and vanilla. Mix it all well so it’s blended nicely.
04 - In another bowl, whisk flour, salt, and baking soda. Slowly mix it into the wet bowl until the dough looks even.
05 - Gently fold the heart sprinkles into the dough so they're spread out well.
06 - Use a tablespoon to drop dough blobs onto the tray. Leave about 5 cm between each one.
07 - Pop the tray in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes until edges look golden. Let them cool on the tray a bit before moving to a rack to finish cooling.
