After the dough's doubled, gently press it down and mold it into heart shapes. Put them on the lined baking tray.

Scatter chocolate pieces all over the hearts, then press them in a bit so they stick.

Set your oven to 190°C and cover your baking tray with parchment paper.

Pop the dough into a greased bowl, cover it with a clean towel, and leave it somewhere warm for about 2 hours till it’s doubled.

Put the dough on some flour, then knead with your hands for 10 minutes until it feels smooth and stretchy.

Stir in the flour, cocoa, and salt to the wet mix using a wooden spoon or your hands. Keep going till the dough gets sticky.

In a big bowl, mix up the sourdough starter, warm water, and sugar until the sugar is totally gone.

Bake the hearts for 20 to 25 minutes until they're firm and a bit puffed. Let them cool down completely before eating.
