# Detailed Preparation Steps:

01 - Set oven to 200°C and cover a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Stir flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt well in a big bowl.
03 - Toss the cold butter into the dry mix then mash with a fork or pastry cutter until it looks crumbly.
04 - Pour in the cream and mix gently till it just sticks together. Then lightly knead on a floured surface but don’t overdo it.
05 - Flatten the dough to about 2.5 cm thick, cut out circles with a cookie cutter, and place them on your lined tray.
06 - Cook for 15-20 minutes till they’re a soft golden color. Take out and cool a bit.
07 - Mix sugar with the sliced strawberries and let sit so juice comes out while shortcakes bake.
08 - Slice the shortcakes in half, spoon strawberries on bottom pieces, spread whipped cream, and top with the other halves. Add extra cream if you want and eat right away.

# Helpful Tips:

01 - Be gentle with the dough and don’t knead too much so the shortcakes stay soft.
