Turn oven to 175°C and grease two 23 cm round pans. Then sprinkle them with flour so cakes don’t stick.

Put flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a big bowl. Whisk it all up good and even.

Crack eggs, pour in milk, oil, and vanilla. Use a mixer on medium speed for about 2 minutes to mix it all together.

Slowly add the boiling water and stir until the batter is smooth with no lumps.

Split batter between the pans and bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Check doneness with a toothpick; it should come out clean.

Keep cakes in the pans for 10 minutes then move them to wire racks so they cool down completely.
