Soft pears packed with creamy blue cheese, crunchy walnuts, a drizzle of honey, and fresh herbs. Makes a fancy snack or pre-dinner bite anytime.

# Ingredients:

→ Pears

01 - 4 pears, nice and ripe, split from top to bottom and get rid of the seeds

→ Cheese Filling

02 - 1 tablespoon honey (plus some more for a finishing drizzle)
03 - 28 grams walnuts, toasted then chopped up
04 - 120 grams blue cheese, crumble it up

→ Seasoning and Garnish

05 - Fresh thyme sprigs to top it off
06 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, ground
07 - 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

# Steps:

01 - After you pull the pears out of the oven, pour on some extra honey. Top with fresh thyme sprigs and enjoy while still warm.
02 - Sprinkle the pears with ground black pepper and gently pour some balsamic vinegar over them. Now bake for about 20 to 25 minutes so the pears soften and the cheese melts and gets bubbly.
03 - Pack the cheesy walnut mix right into the hollowed centers of each pear and press it in a bit.
04 - Toss the blue cheese crumbles with chopped and toasted walnuts in a bowl. Mix in your honey and stir everything around till well blended.
05 - Take your pears, cut each in half from top to bottom, and scoop the seeds out with a melon baller or spoon. Place flat side up on your baking tray.
06 - Fire up the oven to 190°C. Line your tray with parchment paper or rub on a little oil.

# Notes:

01 - Go for pears that have some give but aren’t mushy. Swapping in a little goat cheese makes the filling even richer. You can serve this either warm right out of the oven or let it chill first.
