Turn on medium heat and pour enough oil to cover bottom of pan well.

Mix salt, black pepper, and poultry seasoning on chicken breasts. Flatten with mallet if needed so they cook evenly.

Fry chicken in heated oil for 6 to 8 minutes each side until outside is golden and inside hits 74°C.

Stir waffle batter following box instructions. Cook in hot waffle iron till waffles are golden all over.

Cut waffles in half horizontally. Put a chicken breast piece between two waffle halves and pour maple syrup on top.

Serve sliders while warm. Extra maple syrup on the side is optional.
