Chicken Waffle Bites (Printable Version)

Golden crispy chicken paired with soft waffles and a sweet maple drizzle for a fun bite.

# Ingredients You'll Need:

→ Chicken

01 - 1 tsp poultry seasoning
02 - 680-907 g skinless, boneless chicken breasts
03 - 0.25 tsp black pepper, ground
04 - 0.25 tsp salt

→ Waffle Mix

05 - 240 ml water or amount stated on box
06 - 480 g waffle mix (about 2 cups)

→ Frying Oil

07 - 120 ml oil for frying

→ Topping

08 - 60 ml maple syrup

# Detailed Preparation Steps:

01 - Turn on medium heat and pour enough oil to cover bottom of pan well.
02 - Mix salt, black pepper, and poultry seasoning on chicken breasts. Flatten with mallet if needed so they cook evenly.
03 - Fry chicken in heated oil for 6 to 8 minutes each side until outside is golden and inside hits 74°C.
04 - Stir waffle batter following box instructions. Cook in hot waffle iron till waffles are golden all over.
05 - Cut waffles in half horizontally. Put a chicken breast piece between two waffle halves and pour maple syrup on top.
06 - Serve sliders while warm. Extra maple syrup on the side is optional.

# Helpful Tips:

01 - Use more or less maple syrup depending on what you like.
02 - If you want it lighter, bake the chicken instead of frying.
03 - Try gluten-free waffle mix if you need to avoid gluten.
