Line your baking tray with parchment and heat oven to 175°C.

Mix baking soda and flour in a bowl till it's all even, then put it aside.

In a big bowl, whip the soft butter with both sugars till it's light and fluffy.

Stir in the egg and vanilla till it's all smooth.

Fold dry mix into the wet stuff slowly. Then mix in chocolate chips and sprinkles if you want.

Scoop dough onto the tray with about 5 cm space between each dollop.

Cook for 10 to 12 minutes till edges are golden but the middle stays soft. Let them cool a bit before eating.
