Soft gingerbread waffles packed with spices and molasses sugar, great for a snug morning start.

# Ingredients You'll Need:

→ Dry Mix

01 - 3 grams salt
02 - 240 grams plain flour
03 - 25 grams brown sugar
04 - 12 grams baking powder
05 - 0.5 gram allspice
06 - 0.5 gram ground cloves
07 - 1 gram ground nutmeg
08 - 1 gram ground ginger
09 - 2 grams cinnamon

→ Wet Mix

10 - 80 milliliters molasses
11 - 415 milliliters buttermilk
12 - 5 milliliters vanilla extract
13 - 60 milliliters butter, melted
14 - 2 large eggs

# Detailed Preparation Steps:

01 - Get your waffle iron hot, then brush it with some oil so the waffles won’t stick.
02 - Take a big bowl and mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, allspice, and salt until it’s all blended well.
03 - In another bowl, crack the eggs and beat them up. Then stir in buttermilk, molasses, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
04 - Slowly fold the wet mix into the dry mix. Don’t overdo it. Let it rest for 5 minutes so the flour gets nice and hydrated.
05 - Spoon the batter onto your heated waffle iron and cook until the waffles are golden and crispy around 4 to 5 minutes each.

# Helpful Tips:

01 - Try topping these waffles with whipped cream, fresh berries, and maple syrup for a tasty boost. If you like stronger molasses flavor, dark molasses is the way to go. Feel free to tweak the spices to your own taste.
