Get your waffle iron hot, then brush it with some oil so the waffles won’t stick.

Take a big bowl and mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, allspice, and salt until it’s all blended well.

In another bowl, crack the eggs and beat them up. Then stir in buttermilk, molasses, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.

Slowly fold the wet mix into the dry mix. Don’t overdo it. Let it rest for 5 minutes so the flour gets nice and hydrated.

Spoon the batter onto your heated waffle iron and cook until the waffles are golden and crispy around 4 to 5 minutes each.
