Ham Swiss Sliders (Print Version)

Hot Hawaiian sliders stuffed with ham and Swiss, brushed in butter sauce, then baked till crispy on top and gooey inside.

# Ingredients:

→ For the Sliders

01 - 12 slices Swiss cheese
02 - 18 slices thin deli ham
03 - 1 package (12 count) Hawaiian sweet rolls

→ For the Butter Sauce

04 - 1/2 tablespoon dried minced onion
05 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
06 - 1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
07 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
08 - 1/2 cup butter
09 - 1 tablespoon yellow mustard

→ Optional Toppings

10 - 1 tablespoon dried parsley
11 - 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

# Steps:

01 - If you want, toss on some parsley and Parmesan right on top. Slice the little sandwiches apart and hand them out while they're still gooey and warm.
02 - Leave the foil off now and slide the dish back in for another 5 minutes or so to toast the tops and get a crunchy finish.
03 - Cover your baking dish with more foil and bake everything for 20 minutes so the cheese melts and the sliders get nice and warm all the way through.
04 - Pour the buttery mix evenly over all the rolls. Make sure it soaks in everywhere. Let everything hang out for maybe 5-10 minutes so the flavors meld.
05 - Grab a microwave bowl and melt the butter. Stir in the minced onion, mustard, a bit of Worcestershire, salt, and pepper. Mix til it’s all smooth.
06 - Lay half the ham on the bottom slab of rolls in the pan. Put all the cheese over this, add the rest of the ham, then pop the top part of the rolls back on and press it down gently.
07 - Keep the rolls together and slice right through the middle sideways, so you’ve got a big top and a big bottom. Lay the bottom in your foil-lined dish.
08 - Line your 9x13 baking dish with foil—don’t forget the edges. Give it a quick spray with non-stick stuff so nothing sticks.
09 - Crank your oven up to 350°F (about 175°C) so it’s hot and ready. This’ll help the sliders get a nice color all over.

# Notes:

01 - Want things lighter? Swap in just 1/4 cup butter and your sliders will be a bit crisper, a little less rich.
02 - You can build these ahead of time (up to a day). Just wait to add the butter sauce until right before baking.
03 - Pop any extras in a sealed container in the fridge for a couple days. Warm 'em back up at 325°F for about 10 minutes.
