Hawaiian Roll Toast (Printable Version)

Hawaiian rolls soaked in cinnamon and vanilla egg mix then fried until golden and soft inside.

# Ingredients You'll Need:

→ Breads

01 - Soft Hawaiian rolls, about 6 to 8 pieces

→ Wet Stuff

02 - Vanilla extract, 5 ml
03 - Whole milk, 240 ml
04 - 4 big eggs

→ Seasonings

05 - Ground cinnamon, 1 tsp

→ Fats

06 - Butter or cooking oil for frying

# Detailed Preparation Steps:

01 - Turn the stove to medium heat. Melt butter or add oil to your pan to cover the bottom well.
02 - Take each Hawaiian roll and slice it horizontally right through the middle. Get all other things ready.
03 - In a bowl, mix eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla until it’s smooth and combined.
04 - Dip both cut sides of each roll piece into the egg mix. Don’t soak too long so it stays firm.
05 - Put the dipped rolls in the hot pan. Let them cook about 3 minutes each side until they turn golden and nice.
06 - Move the cooked halves to a plate. Eat them right away with things like syrup or fresh berries.

# Helpful Tips:

01 - Switch Hawaiian rolls for brioche to get a richer taste. You can also stir in a bit of orange juice or rum extract to the egg mix to make it tastier.
