Set oven at 160 degrees Celsius. Grease and line a springform pan.

Mix sugar, butter, and graham crumbs. Press this mix flat on the pan bottom.

Smooth the cream cheese first. Add sour cream and sugar little by little. Beat in eggs one by one and then add vanilla. Mix just until everything’s blended.

Cook the apple slices with sugar and cinnamon on medium heat until they soften a bit.

Put half of the cream cheese mix on the crust. Spread cooked apples evenly on top. Add the rest of the creamy mix. If you like, gently swirl salted caramel into the top layer.

Bake for about an hour. The middle should be firm but a little wobbly. Cool completely before pouring extra caramel sauce on.
